Growing up with dogs I found on so many occasions even some of the basics could be misleading if not done correctly. After joining Cristina on a group walk it’s clear that both have built a great family of dogs, all well trained and happy. I contacted Petre after observing many dogs he has trained locally, and the difference in them and their owners when out and about. I trained with him for a week with my friends dog, a young boxer (who had already undergone the full training programme) as I wanted to learn the correct handling techniques and increase my awareness in assessing potential situations and also to remain consistent when handling him going forward. Consistency is paramount. It has been such a rewarding experience with Petre, and now I feel more able to confidently handle him and other dogs. We can’t recommend Petre highly enough. Before my mum and I started training, our 8 month old puppy, Woody, was really testing us! His biting had become a big problem, he would try to eat everything on walks and he just wasn’t listening to us. The transformation has been incredible. Woody is so much calmer, listens well, the biting has stopped, and walks are now enjoyable instead of stressful. The difference has honestly exceeded our expectations. One of the biggest things we learned is that the training wasn’t just about teaching Woody, it was just as much about training mum and I. Petre explained why Woody was behaving the way he was and gave us the knowledge, confidence, and consistency to communicate with him properly. We have just completed a 6 week course to correct some of our 3 year old fox red Labrador's behaviour. Petre's no nonsense and pragmatic approach to training is very effective. To be honest it hasn't just been a case of correcting the dog's behaviour, its been as much about training my husband and myself. It's like we have a different dog now who is far more relaxed and obedient. Also my husband and I have now have the skills to handle her in a consistent and effective way. It's been well worth the money and effort. Being able to join with the dog walking group run by Petre's wife, Christina, is also a big bonus and offers a degree of support should we have any questions going forward. Wish we’d found Petre earlier! Our training with him has been a revelation. Having a working breed dog was proving challenging but Petre has given us the knowledge and skills to ensure walks are safer, calmer, and we have a greater control. For the first time in 2 years my arms are thankful they can stay in their sockets and I’m also confident enough to walk Brodie off lead. We play more, he listens more and we enjoy walks more too! Being able to visit a coffee shop or pub without causing a major scene has been fabulous as well. Life saver! Petre’s considerable understanding of dogs and his no-nonsense training methods have helped massively in getting my chaotic rescue dog Loupi on track to becoming manageable both at home and out walking, whether in town or country. Over five weeks of training (of both me and Loupi), my own confidence has grown, and Loupi and I can now build on the basic obedience that Petre has instilled. Petre helped us with our golden retrievers, our youngest Clyde was a typical teenage phase retriever wanted to be everyone’s best friend pulling on the lead jumping on people and showed some signs of resource guarding- Petre gave us the tools and showed us what we was doing wrong and how we was confusing with our mixed messages. I can’t thank Petre enough, he’s transformed Damon, walking on lead was hard work as he pulled so much. Coffee shops or busy places were a no go as he would lunge at people and dogs. But now we can go for coffee stress free. He also listens a lot more on walks and isn’t so in your face when meeting new dogs. Investing in dog training with Petre was the best money we’ve ever spent. Before working with him, we had no confidence letting our 10-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Frankie off of the lead, her recall from the back garden was bad enough.
